Description

Features:

  1. 100% Air Exhaust
  2. Negative pressure air surrounding all biologically contaminated parts.
  3. Class II, Type B2 cabinets are total exhaust cabinets, widely used in toxicology laboratories and similar applications where chemical effluent is present and clean air is essential.
  4. There is no recirculation within the work area.
  5. Room air enters through a blower/motor in the top of the cabinet and passes through a HEPA supply filter into the work area as vertical unidirectional airflow.
  6. Descending air is pulled through the base of the cabinet through the perforated front and rear grilles.
  7. Simultaneously, air entering through the perforated front opening is pulled through the grille and exhausted immediately.
  8. 100% of the air is pulled into the facility exhaust system for appropriate treatment.
  9. Type B2 cabinets are hard-connected to an exhaust system.
  10. Negative pressure surrounds the work area with double-wall plenums for enhanced protection.
  11. Air drawn through the pre-filter passes through highly efficient HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filters.
  12. The HEPA filtration system maintains optimum cleanliness and purity, while the pre-filter extends the life of the HEPA filter.
  13. UV and fluorescent light interlock available.
  14. Ergonomic and comfortable sloped front window provides convenient head and elbow rest positions, reducing operator fatigue.
  15. Counterbalanced sash ensures smooth and lightweight operation with a standard opening for easier access to the work zone and enhanced user safety.
  16. Class II design ensures Personnel Protection, Product Protection, and Environmental Protection.

CLASS-II BIOSAFETY CABINET PROTECTION

  1. Personnel protection from harmful agents used inside the biosafety cabinet.
  2. Product protection to avoid contamination of the work, experiment, or process from outside contaminants.
  3. Environmental protection from contaminants contained within the biosafety cabinet.

CLASS-II BIOSAFETY CABINET KEY FEATURES

  1. A front access opening with carefully maintained inward airflow.
  2. HEPA-filtered, vertical, unidirectional airflow within the work area.
  3. HEPA-filtered exhaust air to the room or exhausted to a facility exhaust system.

CLASS-II BIOSAFETY CABINET APPLICATIONS

  1. The Type B2 total exhaust cabinets are widely used in toxicology laboratories and similar applications where chemical effluent is present and clean air is essential.
  2. All types of Class II cabinets may be used in Biosafety Level 4 laboratories when workers utilize positive-pressure suits. However, for Level 4, Class III cabinets are recommended.

EXHAUST SYSTEM WITH BLOWER

  1. With an integral and essential exhaust system consisting of a heavy-duty, powerful motor blower, the Class II Type B2 Biological Safety Cabinet is capable of exhausting 100% potentially contaminated air outside the cabinet.

Drain Trough with Valve

  1. The trough at the base is easy to clean and facilitates the drainage of any liquid spillage.

Upper Front Cover

  1. Removable upper and front covers simplify filter, blower, and front control panel replacement and make maintenance easier.

Decontamination by UV Lamp

  1. UV lamp produces ultraviolet rays of 253.7 nanometers for effective decontamination.
  2. The UV lamp, fluorescent lamp, and motor blower are interlocked and operate automatically based on the front sash position.
  3. UV lamp can function through an optional timer to control the decontamination cycle and maximize lamp life.
  4. After the preset decontamination time is completed, the UV lamp switches off automatically and the fluorescent lamp turns on.

Front Window / Sash

  1. Front sash consists of thick plexiglass or optional toughened transparent glass for a clear internal view.
  2. Provides optimum resistance and protection against harmful UV radiation.
  3. Protects the user from exposure to ultraviolet rays while maintaining visibility.

Splash Proof Electric Supply Socket

  1. Splash-proof electrical sockets are provided for convenient operation of small electrical devices inside the cabinet.

Material of Construction

  1. Internal working chamber is manufactured from Stainless Steel (SS-304).
  2. External cabinet is fabricated from Cold Rolled Steel and finished with a durable powder-coated surface.

Front Airflow Intake Grid

  1. Aerodynamically designed front airflow intake grid eliminates potential
    turbulence and contamination.

Floor Stand and Castor Wheels

  1. Floor Stand is made up of heavy duty tubular pipe duly powder coated and fitted
with durable castor wheels for rotation and total brake system on front wheels.
