CONSTRUCTION DETAILS
- Cabinet Structure: BOD Incubators are double walled convection heated units designed for maximum thermal efficiency.
- Outer Body: Constructed out of thick PCRC sheet, duly pre-treated with primers and rust proofing, and finished with long-lasting stove enamel or elegantly powder coated.
- Inner Chamber: Made of heavy gauge stainless steel sheet of SS-304 grade.
- Insulation: The gap between the walls is filled with high grade mineral glass wool to ensure maximum thermal efficiency.
- Door System: Provided with two doors. The inner door is made of thick flexi glass/float glass with a magnetic door closer to view specimens without disturbing the chamber temperature. The outer door is made of mild steel sheet lined with stainless steel from inside and features a lock and key arrangement.
- Mobility & Placement: The unit is mounted on a sturdy steel frame and provided with caster wheels for easy movement inside the laboratory.
- Shelves & Air Circulation: Provided with three stainless steel shelves. The triple walled back of the incubator is equipped with two air circulation fans for uniform temperature maintenance throughout the chamber.
HEATING, COOLING & ILLUMINATION SYSTEMS
- Heating System: Indirect heating system comprising air heaters made of high grade Kanthal A-1 wires of suitable wattage. Warm air is evenly distributed via efficient motor fans to ensure excellent temperature sensitivity.
- Cooling System: Energy-efficient cooling unit installed to enable biochemical oxygen demand studies at lower room temperatures. Uses ISI marked, high-end CFC-free compressors of Kirloskar/Tecumseh make.
- Temperature Range: Standard temperature range spans from 5°C to 60°C (customers ki specialized requirement ke mutabik modify bhi kiya ja sakta hai).
- Illumination: Equipped with a door-operated illumination system comprising fluorescent lights.
- Control Panel: Front panel comprises on/off switches for heating and cooling, mains indicator lamps, temperature controllers, and voltmeters.
